Choose the correct session
Public skate welcomes all ages; Adult Leisure Skate is 18+. Parent and Child Skate is for a parent or guardian aged 18+ with a child seven or younger, with no older siblings. Family Stick and Puck is for skill practice under its age-category rules, not an ordinary free skate.
Shinny is informal and non-contact, with capacity 26 skaters and three goalies. Adult registration opens Monday 7 a.m. for the next week; non-residents start Tuesday 7 a.m. Select Enrol Now in the drop-in schedule or ask a representative.

Helmets, skates and equipment
For public skate, helmets are strongly recommended and mandatory for children five or younger; only skaters go on the ice. Children under eight need supervision by someone 14+. No carrying children, headphones, phones or rough play.
Parent-child sessions require helmets and skates for everyone. Family Stick and Puck children need a CSA hockey helmet with face cage and a stick. Shinny requires full equipment and helmets, with full facial cages for youth. Equipment is not rented, and fully equipped goalies play free.

Mobility aids, strollers and passes
Public skate allows clean-wheel wheelchairs, adaptive strollers and pushchairs with a responsible skated companion, but ordinary strollers are not permitted. Parent and Child Skate separately permits a secure child in a clean-wheel stroller; Family Stick and Puck prohibits strollers.
Bring an approved personal skate aid after checking staff rules; the municipality does not supply aids, and chairs or homemade devices are not accepted. Multi-visit key tags provide ten visits for the price of nine and can be scanned once per participant. Check service disruptions before travelling.
