Temporary visitor permission
A temporary pass allows a stay beyond three hours and overnight between 3 and 5 a.m., within its approved dates. The yearly limit is 14 days per licence plate. Other traffic rules still apply.
Book on the day needed. If advance booking is lost to unexpected snow, the day is not reissued. Temporary consideration excludes specified oversized commercial vehicles, unlicensed or derelict vehicles, recreational vehicles and trailers.

Longer on-street permits
Weekly permits cost $11.30 for one week, $22.60 for two, $33.90 for three, $39.55 for four, $79.10 for eight and $118.65 for 12, including tax. Apply through Service Clarington with the fee.
Only one permit is issued per municipal address, and approval depends on whether the street can safely accommodate parking. It does not reserve the spot outside your home. If declined, the fee is refunded.

Online disruption and winter restrictions
For an online-registration outage, call 905-623-3379 extension 2105 weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After-hours voicemail registration is accepted only during an interruption, with name, telephone, plate and street.
No permit overrides the snow-event street ban. Vehicles interfering with plows can be ticketed or towed. Check weather and use an off-street plan rather than treating an approved pass as snow clearance.
